Students Protest Over Tweet

Several African-American students at Booker T. Washington High School in Virgina walked out of their classrooms this past Monday over the  racist tweet that went viral this past summer. The tweet showed a picture of seven white girls with their prom dates which all African-American boys. 

The tweet read "Every white girl's father's nightmare" and it came from the account @ornahhtweets

One of the students told the news

“This was the only actual way we could get someone’s attention, was to walk outside. It shouldn’t have come to this, but [the administrator has] avoided all meetings and public speakings and emails, just avoided them all,”
