Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson is receiving social media backlash after he made a comment in an interview for saying that the U.S should not elect a Muslim for President because they are 'unfit'

"I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that,” the retired neurosurgeon said on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” creating an outcry from the leading Muslim civil liberties group in the nation."

Muslim group CAIR is not slamming Ben Carson for his remarks and calling for him to quit the race in 2016

“We really urge politicians, the general public, community leaders and presidential candidates to repudiate his views and we ask Mr. Ben Carson to withdraw from the presidential race because he is unfit to lead and because his views are inconsistent with the United States Constitution,” Nihad Awad, the group’s executive director said at a press conference."
