The 2011 Grammys: In Review
Sunday night CBD aired the 5rd Annual Grammys. The award show was average for me. Here are some of the highlights of what went down.
Lady Gaga once again made an interesting entrance at the red carpet. She was dressed as an eggs. At the VMA's she was covered in meat, two more red carpets and she will be a Dennys Grand Slam.
Lady Gaga once again got people talking about her egg entrance.
One of the first performances of the night was a tribute to Aretha Franklin who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Florance Welch, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride and Yolanda Adams performed some of her greatest hits. This was also Christina's chance to "redeem:" herself due to her recent Super Bowl performance. at the performance Christina almost fell on stage. It was great tribute though.
Another stand out performance was Lady Gaga. She performed her new single "born This Way" which debuted at ! at the Billboard Hot 100 charts. People expected something wild and crazy but she gave a straight forward performance. She and her dancers were dressed in a hospital like gowns and I thought they were nude underneath .
One of the more shocking wins in Grammy history was jazz artist Ssperanza Spalding beating out Justin Bieber for Best New Artist. Ever since she won her Grammy she has been a lot of attention.Every one wants to know who is she?
Sadly because she beat out Justin Bieber, she has been getting bashed and deaths threats from Justin Bieber fans which little female tweens.. Her wikipedia page was recent;ly hacked by Justin Bieber fans. It is not her fault that she won.
