Journal of the American Medical Association Wants Parents To Lose Custody Of Their Kids For Being Obese

Can You Lose Your Kid For Being Obese?

The Journal of the American Medical Association wants parents to lose custody of their children for being obese. Dr. David Ludwig, an obesity specialist at Harvard-affiliated Children’s Hospital Boston, said the point isn’t to blame parents, but rather to act in children’s best interest and get them help that for whatever reason their parents can’t provide.

I think this is ridiculous. To take a child away from parents, what is that solving? Some children have other issues. Let's worry about the parents that do drugs with their children that look like skeletons. These children need to be taken away. The children that live in homes that are not fit to live in. Lets get some of the commercials off of TV that are promoting all this junk food. Lets just start opening the local Y's and gyms to families that have no means of paying for these things and have obese children. The government should not be dictating how much and what a child should eat. Some people have different metabolism's than others These are kids, not animals
