This one of the saddest stories that I've heard. A 39 year old man who went to a baseball game with his son fell 20 feet from his death after reaching for a flying ball. After slamming into the concrete, was still conscious. As EMTs carried him out on a stretcher, he spoke his final words: "Please check on my son. My son is up there alone." He was a fighter fighter.
