James Van Der Beek Announces Marriage To Kimberly Brook On Twitter

Congrats to James Van Der Beek and his new wife Kimberly Brook. The pair married over the weekend, joining Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz as well as Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky as Hollywood's latest newlyweds.

He broke the news on Twitter, writing, "Best day of my life so far... The woman I love did me the honor of became my wife today... I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life."

And, Dawson, we mean, James, seemed in good spirits even when a fan tweeted that he hadn't used correct grammar in his tweet. "LOL I just noticed that! Believe I was an English major? RT @wkw_ed You'd think a big announcement like this would warrant a grammar check."

In April, he took to Twitter to also announce that he and Brook were expecting their first child together. "The woman I love and I are expecting our first child," he tweeted. "Currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed."

Back in June, Kim spoke to People.com about becoming a parent with the "Dawson's Creek" star. “We’re so excited to announce we are expecting a girl [this fall]," she said. "We are thinking and taking suggestions for names, but we have no idea [what to call her] right now."

Kimberly and James began dating last year. He finalized his divorce from his ex-wife of six years, Heather McComb, in March.
