Katy Perry's Parents Have A 'Gift'

We've always been a bit curious about Katy Perry's religious parents and now we wished we hadn't found out how strange they really are!

Katy's 'rents, Keith and Mary are both Christian ministers and according to Katy have the 'gift' of speaking in tongues.

According to heatworld, Katy said: “Speaking in tongues is as normal to me as ‘Pass the salt.’ It’s a secret, direct prayer language to God.

“My dad speaks in tongues and my mom interprets it. That’s their gift.”

And it didn't stop there. Katy was unable to enjoy such simple pleasures as child friendly breakfast cereal...

"I wasn't able to say I was ‘lucky’ because my mother… said that lucky sounded like ‘Lucifer’. I wasn't allowed to eat Lucky Charms."
